When you arrive by metro at Syntagma Square, you can't miss the Parliament — it's the big building just on top of the stairs, near the fountain. There are always two special guards — called Evzones — guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the building by standing completely still. A few times every day, the Changing of the Guards takes place: the two Evzones on duty start making really slow, coordinated movements to restart their body circulation, and are replaced by two new Evzones. On Sundays at 11pm this becomes an even bigger event, with a whole parade, but on any day it is a spectacle worth watching!
