The Reign of Terror, during the French Revolution, was a period of thousands of arrests and executions. One of the most important names in this event is Maximilien de Robespierre, a French lawyer and politician. His execution, on 10 Thermidor Year II, or July 28, 1794, is considered to be the event that ended the Reign of Terror.
