Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen

On August 26, 1789, the National Assembly passed the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen. The Declaration was influenced by the ideas of the Enlightenment, and remains to this day a great influence on our current agreements regarding civil and human rights.
