King Edward VII in Lisbon, Portugal Apr 1903
Photograph of King Edward VII (1841-1910) seated in a carriage on the left as he is driven through the city of Lisbon during his visit to Portugal. He is accompanied by King Carlos I of Portugal (1863-1908). Two Postilions ride on the back of the carriage. Five years later, in 1908 the King and his son, Prince Luís Filipe, was shot and killed as they travelled in an open carriage through Lisbon.
